I use a Harmony G XT for my harmonies also, but I still use the Mic Mechanic in line first. The folks at TC Helicon say it's the same algorithms, but to my ears the G XT doesn't do the tone, reverbs, and correction as well as the MM. The GXT may be just a little under-powered to handle all of that processing.
Plus I like that I can change how much pitch correction I want on the MM — usually I leave it at noon, but I have turned it higher on rough days.

I don’t want to add yet another thing to my setup/teardown routine, and I use mild settings on harmony anyway ...just enough for color and the audience to say, whoa, that was kinda cool. Set any higher and these boxes can sound super cheesy. But good sounding boxes by TC, nevertheless.
